UVV/On-site Service

Please see below a summary of an excerpt of the BGG 934, the foundation of UVV:

Tests:

Testing of work equipment including centrifuges is regulated by paragraph 3 and 10 in section 3 of the operational safety regulations.

The following tests on centrifuges should be carried out exclusively by authorized persons.
  • Test before the initial start-up operation
  • Recurrent testing:
    • In-service testing
    • testing in disassembled status

1. In-service testing:

The contractor is responsible for providing operational safety checks on the centrifuges at least once a year. Primarily, a safety check covers the following:
  • Condition of components
  • Completeness
  • Correlation between technical data and the manufacturers data
  • Completeness of test book
  • Test run
  • Rotation speed control
  • Imbalance sensor

2. Testing in disassembled state:

The contractor is responsible for having centrifuges tested for operational safety. The centrifuges will be tested as needed, but within at least every three years. The testing should exclusively cover the following points:
  • Housing (stability, condition, corrosion, wear and tear, etc...)
  • Foundation
  • Propulsion ( electric motor or hydraulic drive)
  • Basket shaft (basket seat, mounting, bearing seat, joints and gaskets, etc...)
  • Basket ( basket body, welding seams, seat, basket head locking device ect...)
  • Electrical and hydraulic equipment
  • Test run after assembly
Necessary work will be carried out by our authorised service technicians on-site at your plant or at our factory. Further, every UVV will be marked and documented in the centrifuge book.
